Popular actress Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed,” has passed away from cancer at the age of 53. Her death has left a profound sense of mourning among her family, friends, and fans.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Doherty’s ex-husband, Ashley Hamilton, broke his silence to pay tribute to her. “Even though things don’t always work out the way we hope they will, she stood by my side during some of my darkest times,” Hamilton shared. “My love and admiration for her lasted far longer than our short-lived marriage.”

He continued, “The world lost a free-spirited soul, and my heart aches for her and for all those who loved her. May she rest in peace.”
Doherty had previously revealed on the “Let’s Be Clear” podcast in January that Hamilton’s struggles with addiction played a part in her being fired from “Beverly Hills, 90210.” “I was in a really horrible marriage, and there were things that were transpiring in that marriage that made it really hard for me to consistently be on time for work,” she recalled. “I didn’t even want to leave the house because I scared that [Hamilton] would go and get drugs.”
In a tragic twist, Doherty officially filed for divorce from her most recent husband, Kurt Iswarienko, the day before her death. She had learned a year earlier, while in the hospital, that Iswarienko had been unfaithful for two years.

Doherty had wanted to end the marriage but was unable to finalize the divorce as Iswarienko continually postponed the process, reportedly in hopes of receiving her million-dollar inheritance.
Doherty expressed a desire to leave her estate to her mother, stating in an interview that she believed Iswarienko was waiting for her death to take over everything.
In her final act of defiance, Doherty prioritizes her mother’s well-being. She ensured that the divorce was processed before her death, ensuring that her wishes were honored.
