The annual earnings of King Charles III and other royal family members have been disclosed, as reported by US Weekly.
The monarch’s main source of income is the Sovereign Grant, which provides him with approximately $113 million annually. This money covers the costs of property maintenance, staff salaries, and various other palace expenses.
Additionally, Charles receives about $25 million per year from the Duchy of Lancaster to cover his personal expenses. US Weekly estimates his net worth at around $750 million.
Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, has earned significantly less throughout her life. Since 1971, she has accumulated about $21 million in total earnings. Prince William took $30.4 million last year, Us reported.
The royal family hosts per year over 2500 events and organizes them with great pomp and grandeur. A vast amount of money is spent on these events, all of which is borne by the royal treasury.
According to the National Audit Office, the 10-year Buckingham Palace renovation plan, like other excessively planned expenditures, is estimated to cost $483,057,900, which is expected to be completed by 2027.
