Irina Bolgar announced on social media that she plans to publish a book based on her personal diary. In talks with producers about making a documentary about his life.
A key part of the story will focus on her relationship with Telegram founder Pavel Durov.
“I have never had any intention of making the situation public. I have always solved all issues exclusively in the legal field, being a lawyer myself. The civil and criminal courts were launched more than a year and a half ago,” she shared.
“The office of my former lawyers, who launched the proceedings in early 2023, was contacted by Swiss journalists asking for my contacts and comments. But I did not respond to them and forbade my lawyers to comment. However, after Pavel Durov’s arrest in Paris in August 2024, which coincidentally coincided with my birthday, journalists discovered all court decisions, both civil and criminal, in open access on official Swiss websites and published them,” she continues.
Irina Bolgar said in her Instagram post, “After that, I was contacted by probably all the reporters in the world. And then I had to give comments to clarify the situation and protect my reputation from possible lies and slander. Along with the journalists, both publishers and producers are in touch with me. Financial support for the children was stopped by their father more than 1.5 years ago and it was not possible to settle an agreement for the child allowance although I offered to settle the issue of alimony in a pre-trial manner many times, including in June this year. But in response, Pavel blocked me.”
“At the moment I am discussing with publishers to publish a book based on my personal diaries, and with producers about the script of a documentary film based on real events supported by my personal archive for 10 years of family relations with Pavel Durov and my advising him on Telegram company matters for years as it was always considered to be our family asset.”
According to Irina, the book will be out soon, and she hopes audiences will enjoy the film about their “The book is about to be published soon. And I hope you will enjoy the movie about beautiful love story unfortunately ended as a thriller.”
She also spoke again about how Durov treated her. Irina mentioned that her income isn’t enough to cover private school fees, extra activities, and travel for their children, as Pavel doesn’t provide financial support. She’s using her personal savings, which could run out. “Legal fees are expensive, and while the alimony trials continue, I need to find additional income,” she explained.
