Bruce Willis‘s family is deeply concerned that he may not live to see his 70th birthday, as his illness continues to worsen. The legendary actor, best known for his ‘Die Hard’ roles has battling frontotemporal dementia, a condition for which there is no cure.
Despite the progression of the disease Bruce is trying to live as normal a life as possible with the constant support of his loved ones.
Bruce will turn 70 on March 19, 2025, and while fans hope he’ll reach that milestone, the news coming from his family is increasingly worrisome. According to reports from In Touch Weekly, Bruce’s condition has advanced to the point where his family fears they may not have much time left with him.
“He rarely leaves the house, and when he does, it’s carefully planned. He needs help getting ready and even getting into the car. The disease has progressed so much that they’re worried about how much time they have left with him,” a source close to the family revealed.
The actor’s home is now constantly staffed with nurses and caregivers to assist with his needs, while bodyguards ensure privacy, as the media attention around his health has intensified.
Bruce’s daughter, Tallulah, recently shared in an interview how the family is coping with his illness. “He’s stable, which is good in this situation. And it’s hard; there are painful days, but there’s so much love. It’s taught me not to take any moment for granted. I think he’s very proud of me,” she said.
Bruce Willis’s illness became public in March 2022, although he had been diagnosed three years earlier. One of the earliest signs of his frontotemporal dementia was memory loss, which made it increasingly difficult for him to remember lines during filming.

Actor had to step away from his career due to this, as well as the onset of aphasia, a neurological disorder affecting speech, comprehension, reading, and writing.
While his family prefers not to speak much about his condition to avoid fueling speculation, some details have emerged. It’s known that Bruce can no longer read—a hobby he once loved—and has difficulty speaking. However, recent photos show him looking well; he was even spotted smiling from the passenger seat of a car.
Despite challenges his family continues to surround him with love and support, making the most of every moment they have together.
